Glee Day at Lostock Arts College

RAISING FUNDS FOR HAITI, GLEE STYLE

Footlights Theatre School have a very exciting charity event on the 10th July 2010. 'GLEE DAY', aims to raise as much money for the Haiti appeal as possible and will be held at Lostock Arts College. The day is also about having a lot of fun and will give you the opportunity to take part in what we do best at Footlights Theatre School. ACT, SING AND DANCE. Do you love the hit TV show Glee?

This open day is for EVERYONE! Children and Adults can dress up as their favourite Glee character or pop singer. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) This day will showcase what Footlights have also recently been working on with students performing their own devised work.

Due to this open day being a charity event, we want to raise as much cash as possible for the Haiti appeal, so you can get sponsored by all your friends and family or donate just £1 to get involved.

The acting, dancing and singing workshops will be based on 'Glee' and taught by the trained Footlights teachers, whose credits include BBC's Waterloo Road, Channel 4's Shameless and lots more. This is a fantastic way to get involved with the art of performance if you're used to strutting' your moves or just want to give it a go. So get your costumes ready because 'Glee Day' will be landing on 10th July 2010. Between 10am-1pm at Lostock Arts College.

Call 0161 292 9464 for more information.

Youth Advocacy July Update
All the latest news from Youth Advocacy

Integrated Children's System (ICS)
**ICS is used internally by Social Care (CYPS) staff only.
The Integrated Children's System has been developed to improve outcomes for children defined as being in need, under the Children's Act 1989.
The ICS process gathers complicated and detailed information about Trafford's children and young people and thus shall be stored in a supporting electronic record system.
Information shall only be available to practitioners who have a combination of granted consent and where appropriate, the necessary access levels. This system compliments the "Integrated Working" approach.

Further information on this area can be sought from:

ContactPoint
ContactPoint is a new online directory which went live in January 2009, which aims to help and support the kind of cross-sector working that's at the heart of the vision for children's services. This online directory will provide a quick way to find out who else is working with the same child or young person.

ContactPoint will help save time and prevent duplication of work, so that practitioners can respond quickly and appropriately to a child's needs. It will help reduce the number of repeat assessments and referrals, which can be distressing for a child and their family.

As a national system, ContactPoint will help to ensure continuity of service delivery for children and young people who access services in, or move between, different local authority areas. It will also help identify children missing education.

The expected benefits have been demonstrated by local authority 'Trailblazer' areas who piloted local systems (known as indexes).
