Records Management

Records Management is the ways in which we look after information owned by the organisation. This includes information about how the organisation is run, as well as information about staff and clients of the organisation.

Because the CYPS is a partnership, policies on records management are managed by the individual partner organisations.

Records which need to be kept usually need to be kept for a set period of time, unless they are records which need to be held forever. Instructions for how long records should be kept for are written in a document called a Records Retention Schedule.

NHS Records Management

Trafford Council Records Retention
Trafford Council is currently reviewing their retention schedules as part of a records management project, and the final Records Retention Schedules will be published once this is complete. In the meantime, if you require advice regarding records management please contact:
