Data Sharing Agreements

When there is a need for Trafford Council CYPS to share information about service users with another organisation, or we need another organisation to share information with us, we might need to write a Data Sharing Agreement.

We only need to do this if we need to share information about a group of service users regularly, for example once every month.

We don’t need an agreement in place for professionals to share information to work on a single case, as this will be agreed at the time, and between these professionals.

Usually, no data sharing would take place without telling service users, and sometimes we will need to ask your permission first. The Data Sharing Agreement will describe all the arrangements we agree to do this.
