Deprivation in Trafford - mapped

Indices of Deprivation 2010
The Index of Multiple Deprivation 2010 combines a number of indicators, chosen to cover a range of economic, social and housing issues, into a single deprivation score for each small area in England. This allows each area to be ranked relative to one another according to their level of deprivation. The Indices of Deprivation 2010 have been produced at Lower Super Output Area level, of which there are 34,378 LSOAs in England and Wales.

The below map gives a visual representation of the index, showing which areas in the borough have high or low levels of deprivation. The overall multiple deprivation score is built up from a number of other indicators linked to deprivation. Use the drop down menu to select which indicator to view on the map.
