Trafford's Children and Young People's Service roadshows

Executive Councillor John Holden said the roadshows were great news for local families.

"Trafford's new Children and Young People's Service provides us with a unique opportunity to significantly improve the effectiveness of the educational and health services we provide for local families.

"However, with such a massive change in the way we work, there is bound to be some confusion among some families of how all the new teams will work with them."

Executive Councillor Christine Turner said: "These roadshows are the ideal chance for families to find out more and see how we are committed to improving access to and the effectiveness of all our services. They will be able to pick up plenty of information about how the new service works, from operating a single point of referral to reduce bureacracy, to the new teams of education, health and social care professionals.

I'd encourage families, carers and anyone else interested in children's welfare to get along to their local roadshow and find out more."

The roadshows will be at the following venues between 10am and 3pm.

Saturday, 25 July, Stretford Mall, outside Wilkinsons
Tuesday, 28 July, Altrincham Market
Thursday 30 July, Partington, near the Children's Centre on Central Road
Saturday, 1 August, Sale Shopping Centre, indoor section
Tuesday, 4 August, Old Trafford Community Centre foyer, Shrewsbury Street
Thursday, 6 August, Flixton and Woodsend, Woodsend Circle
