Trafford Play 4 All

Trafford Play 4 All

Play is of vital importance to all children and young people. It is nature's way of helping them to understand and make sense of the world around them. Play is the starting point for cognitive development and helps children and young people to develop the power of concentration and many skills which will equip them for life.

Why do we need a Strategy for Play?

  • Trafford's Play Strategy is called Play 4 All
  • Play is crucial to the personal, social, emotional, physical development, health and well being of all children and young people.
  • The importance of a strategy with a focus on Play is to provide a framework for development.
  • The play strategy will help Trafford to meet the vision of improved outcomes for children and young people as set out in 'Every Child Matters'.
  • It will also inform an action plan which will provide a clear focus of what needs to be addressed within the borough.

All the latest news from Youth Advocacy

Integrated Children's System (ICS)
**ICS is used internally by Social Care (CYPS) staff only The Integrated Children's System has been developed to improve outcomes for children defined as being in need, under the Children's Act 1989. The ICS process gathers complicated and detailed information about Trafford's children and young people and thus shall be stored in a supporting electronic record system. Information shall only be available to practitioners who have a combination of granted consent and where appropriate, the necessary access levels. This system compliments the "Integrated Working" approach.
