Youth Cabinet gets blog on newspaper website

The cabinet recently raised its profile in the community by working with Messenger newspapers to create a blog. This will allow the cabinet to let local people know what it is doing and receive feedback. Cabinet members Matthew Bowcott and Sarah Alvi will be responsible for writing the blog.

The cabinet is already using other 'new media' to get its message across. It has a group on facebook (Trafford Youth Cabinet 2010) where notes from the meetings can be read and also uses twitter (YouthCabinet) to let people know what is happening.

The cabinet would like to thank Carla Flynn, Messenger newspaper editor for giving them this opportunity to show young people in a positive light in the media.
