The Children and Young People's Information Service provides free information and advice to people who want to find out about services and activities for children, young people and their families.

The service has been awarded the matrix quality standard for commitment to delivering high quality information and advice.

Trafford CYP Information Service provides further support if you can not find childcare to suit your needs. In this instance the service can discuss your requirements in more detail and perform an advanced search, find out details of the latest childcare places and contact childcare providers on your behalf.

Integrated Children's System (ICS)
**ICS is used internally by Social Care (CYPS) staff only The Integrated Children's System has been developed to improve outcomes for children defined as being in need, under the Children's Act 1989. The ICS process gathers complicated and detailed information about Trafford's children and young people and thus shall be stored in a supporting electronic record system. Information shall only be available to practitioners who have a combination of granted consent and where appropriate, the necessary access levels. This system compliments the "Integrated Working" approach.

Workforce Learning - Qualifications Funding
Funding is currently available for people who either live in Trafford or who work in a childcare or play setting located within Trafford, towards the cost of studying towards a relevant qualification.

Introduction to the Early Years & Childcare Business Support Service
The Early Years & Childcare Business Support Team offer a business support service to early years, childcare and play providers in both the maintained sector and the private, voluntary and independent (PVI) sector. This is in addition to providing general financial and administrative support to the wider Sure Start team, including Workforce Learning, CYP Information Service, Childcare & Play and Children’s Centres.
