Working with children and young people

Trafford Children and Young People's Information Service advertises job vacancies within the childcare and play sector for FREE. This service has been used by a number of providers within Trafford to recruit staff. Lists of job vacancies are sent out to enquirers, and also posted on the Trafford Jobs section of the Childcarelink website. The website receives well over 400 'hits' per month.

Integrated Children's System (ICS)
**ICS is used internally by Social Care (CYPS) staff only The Integrated Children's System has been developed to improve outcomes for children defined as being in need, under the Children's Act 1989. The ICS process gathers complicated and detailed information about Trafford's children and young people and thus shall be stored in a supporting electronic record system. Information shall only be available to practitioners who have a combination of granted consent and where appropriate, the necessary access levels. This system compliments the "Integrated Working" approach.
