PURPLE MONSTER COMES TO TRAFFORD
Our Children and Young People's Information Service hosted three events on Thursday 5 June to provide information and advice about working with children and young people, including family support roles, fostering, social work, childcare and youth work. Purple Monster, a training organisation, has developed a piece of theatre that provides information about career options in the children's workforce in a fun and inspiring way. Performances took place at Flixton Girls High School, Altrincham College of Arts and Sale Waterside Arts Centre. All the students involved in the schools events said they enjoyed the performance and the majority is considering a career in the sector. Teachers commented that it was both enjoyable and informative.
Over 100 people attended the event at Sale Waterside Arts Centre, at which representative from partner organisations, including Learn Direct, Trafford College and the Children's Workforce Development Council, provided information and advice. 95% of attendees found the performance and information given at the event excellent or good. Well done to all colleagues involved in organizing and staffing these events.
