Appeal for staff to take part in on-line HR survey
The Human Resources team is keen to collect staff views as part of a self assessment on its journey towards delivering world-class HR. Please can colleagues take time to complete an on-line survey that can be found at:
www.employment-studies.co.uk where you will be guided through the survey and given more information about the project. The survey is being administered by the Institute of Employment Studies, independently of NHS North West. Any personal details will remain confidential to IES and results will be completely anonymised. Deadline for responses is 29 August 2008.
Salary Increases - 2008/10
Following agreement of the three year pay deal, the Payroll department has advised that salary increases will take effect from this month with arrears being paid in August. If you would like to find out full details of the three year pay deal please visit the NHS Employers Website - Click here
Nominate your NHS Champion!
The NHS Champions awards are being run by The King's Fund in celebration of NHS 60 and supported by the Department of Health. They will recognise and celebrate the contribution of NHS staff within each Strategic Health Authority region and nationally across England.
Chief Medical Officer Publishes Annual Report 07 - On The State of Public Health
Sir Liam Donaldson, this week published his 2007 Annual Report, in which he called for a new focus on teenage health. The report, which reviews key health problems and developments over the last year, highlighted the unique health needs of teenagers. To view the full report Click here.
The Big Drink Debate - Update
The Big Drink Debate has reached its half way mark - with the number of filled-in questionnaires currently being over 20,000. Whilst this is a fantastic result, more responses are needed from local residents (with postcodes attached) to make sure that the initiative captures localised data / information to help inform local alcohol strategies and action plans.Click here to complete a questionnaire.

Transferring Personal and Commercially Sensitive Information Security Policy
Please can staff take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Trust's new policy around transferring sensitive information. The purpose of this policy is to prevent the unauthorised disclosure, modification, removal or destruction of information, when transferring personal and commercially sensitive corporate information, using removable media or other methods.
